June 15, 2019 - Kates Passes 10 Cars in Masters Opener at Cedar Lake
1On Thursday evening the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) brought 51 competitors to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) for the 20th annual Masters presented by Allstar Performance. Jumping up three spots in his heat, Kates posted a 4th place finish sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Coming one spot shy of a transfer spot with a 4th place finish, Adam was granted a provisional into the show. Passing ten cars in the 40-lap affair, Kates reeled in a 16th place outing.

The following night for another preliminary feature, Adam came in 7th in his heat before grabbing the 5th and final transfer spot in his B-Main. With Mother Nature eventually postponing the feature to Saturday afternoon, Kates was an early retiree on lap-39 while being credited with a 17th place outing.

Later Saturday night for the final round of the 20th annual Masters, Kates posted a 5th place finish in his heat Giving him one final shot at the $10,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place in the Top-5, Adam fell one spot short with a 6th place finish.

June 8, 2019 - Top 10 Finish in Amarillo Ambush at Route 66
1Adam Kates returned with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Tuesday evening at Superbowl Speedway (Greenville, Texas) for the $2,500 top prize. After starting night off with a 8-lap heat race victory, Adam dropped two positions in the feature logging a 8th place finish.

After losing two more events to Mother Nature on Wednesday and Thursday, Kates followed the USMTS to West Texas Raceway (Lubbock, Texas) on Friday. Following a 3rd place finish in his heat, Adam streaked to a 12-lap consolation victory which positioned him 13th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $3,000 on the line, Kates was an early retiree from the 40-lap feature on lap-15.

The following night at Route 66 Motor Speedway (Amarillo, Texas) for the 10th annual Amarillo Ambush, Adam came in 4th in his heat before capturing a B-Main win. Starting the $3,000-to-win finale in 14th, Kates improved five spots in the 40-lapper to place 9th.

June 2, 2019 - Kates Follows USMTS to Sooner State
1After Mother Nature postponed Friday’s night’s event at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) to another date, Adam Kates followed the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) to Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) on Saturday evening for the $3,000 top prize. Following a 5th place finish in his heat, Adam secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 3rd place finish in his B-Main. Rolling off 18th, Kates was an early retiree from the 35-lapper on the 19th circuit.

On Sunday afternoon at Creek County Speedway (Kellyville, Oklahoma) for the second annual Bullring Badass, Adam logged a 7th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the $4,000-to-win finale. Passing four cars, Kates reeled in a 4th place finish which positioned him 20th on the starting grid for the feature. Running into trouble near the halfway point, Adams Kates pulled off on lap-22 while being credited with a 21st place finish.
