April 27, 2019 - Top 10 Finish at Kansas State Fairgrounds
1Adam Kates returned with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Thursday evening at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kansas) for the eighth annual Sunflower State Showdown. Following a 6th place finish in his heat, Kates posted a 4th place finish in his B-Main positioning him 20th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. Pulling off early with 12-laps remaining, Adam was credited with a 21st place finish.

The following night at Kansas State Fairgrounds (Hutchinson, Kansas) for the inaugural Salt City Assault, Adam came in 5th in his heat before placing 5th in his B-Main. Starting the $3,000-to-win A-Main in 21st, Kates advanced through the field 12 spots in the 30-lapper to place 9th.

On Saturday Adam stopped at Longdale Speedway (Longdale, Oklahoma) competing in a field of 22 cars. After placing 7th in his heat, Kates secured his spot into the $3,000-to-win finale with a 6th place finish in his B-Main. Rolling off 17th, Adam Kates was credited with a 18th place finish after retiring early on lap-16.

April 12, 2019 - 11th Place Finish in Cajun Clash Opener; Weather Wipes Out Saturday's Finale
On Thursday evening Adam Kates was one 44 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries signed in at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) for the seventh annual Cajun Clash presented by Horseshoe Bossier City. Holding his spot in his heat race, Kates recorded a 3rd place finish transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Coming in 2nd behind Jason Ingalls, Adam earned the 16th-starting position for the A-Main. Falling one spot shy of a Top-10 finish, Adam Kates passed five cars in the 40-lapper to place 11th.

1Returning on Friday night, Kates came in 7th in his heat race before Kates passing five cars in his B-Main to place 5th. With $4,000 on the line in the feature, Adam gained eight spots in the 40-lap affair reeling in a 13th place outing.

With possible tornadoes and rain in the forecast, Saturday’s $5,000-to-win finale fell victim to Mother Nature

April 5, 2019 - Mother Nature Wipes Out USMTS Southern Weekend
1Friday night saw Adam Kates travel to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) kicking off the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned weekend. With steady rainfall throughout the day on Friday, Kates elected to sit on Friday’s program to save equipment and prepare for the remainder of the weekend.

Saturday and Sunday’s events at Whynot Motorsports Park and Magnolia Motor Speedway eventually fell victim to rain.
