July 23rd, 2016 - Adam Kates Visits I-80 for Silver Dollar Nationals
1Returning with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Adam Kates headed to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) on Friday night for the 6th Annual Silver Dollar Nationals. Drawing forty-four Open Wheel Modifieds for the two-day event, Adam placed 10th in his first heat setting him up with a 10th place starting spot for his second heat. Falling one spot in the 10-lapper, Kates logged an 11th place outing giving him one more chance at the $5,000-to-win feature with a B-Main appearance on Saturday night. Transferring the top five into the Casey’s General Stores A-Main, Adam Kates improved two positions in the 12-lap consolation event but fell two spots short of a transfer positon into the 42-lap A-Main.

July 16th, 2016 - Kates Runs with the USMTS at I-35 Speedway
1Making his first start of the season with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Adam Kates visited I-35 Speedway (Winston, Missouri) on Saturday night for the 8th Annual Seeburg Mufflers Missouri Meltdown. In a field of thirty-four cars, Kates registered an 8th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main for one more chance at the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Sending the top five into the feature, Adam gained two positions in the 15-lap consolation event but came up short of a transfer position into the main event with a 7th place outing.

July 9th, 2016 - Adam Kates Returns to Lakeside and I-35 Speedway
1After taking the 4th of July weekend off, Adam Kates returned to action on Friday night heading to Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas) where Adam placed 5th in his heat race. Starting in 15th for the feature, Kates improved one spot registering a 14th place outing.

1The following night brought Adam to I-35 Speedway (Winston, Missouri) to compete in a field of fourteen Open Wheel Modifieds. Starting on the pole of his heat, Kates posted a 2nd place finish earning him a 5th place starting spot for the A-Main. After running in 6th, Adam got turned around sending him to the back of the field. Trying to regain some spots from the tail of the field, Adam Kates had nowhere to go when another car spun-out in front of him forcing him to do the same which resulted in an early exit in the feature.
