September 26th, 2015 - Kates Wraps Up Hunt for Casey's Cup
1Ben Kates visited Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) on Thursday night for the final night of action in The Hunt for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental. With 91 Open Wheel Modifieds signed in for the $5,000 to win A-Main, Kates logged a 5th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Cruising to a 15-lap consolation win, Ben earned a 17th place starting spot for the feature. Battling for 40-laps, Ben Kates retired a 23rd place outing.

The following night for the 17th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree, Kates fell back in his heat to a 15th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Needing a 3rd place or better to make the show, Ben logged a 15th place finish bringing an early end to his night.

For the final night of action, Ben Kates registered an 11th place heat finish transferring him into the B-Main for one more shot at the $10,000 to win A-Main. Transferring the top three to the feature, Kates retired a 6th place outing.

September 6th, 2015 - Ben Kates Competes in USMTS Hunt for Casey's Cup
1On Wednesday night Ben Kates returned to action by visiting Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) for The Hunt for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental. Drawing a field of 22 cars, Kates transferred into the feature with 6th place outing in his heat. Battling for $3,000 payday in the 30-lap affair, Ben logged a 13th place finish.

The following night brought Kates to Fairmont Raceway (Fairmont, Minnesota) for the tenth night of action in The Hunt for the Casey’s Cup. With 30 cars signed in, Ben Kates notched a 3rd place finish in his heat transferring him into the feature event. Starting in 13th, Ben improved two spots registering a 11th place finish.

Ben headed to Chateau Raceway (Lansing, Minnesota) on Friday night to a field of 33 Open Wheel Modifieds. Finishing 8th in his heat Kates transferred into the B-Main. Needing a 5th place finish or better, Ben Kates retired an 11th place finish ending his night early.

On Saturday night the USMTS sanctioned event brought 44 followers to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for the 12th night of action in the Hunt for the Casey’s Cup. With a 2nd place starting spot in his heat, Ben cruised to the 8-lap victory. Competing for a $3,000 payday, Kates fell back to a 27th place finish.

Wrapping up the busy weekend, Ben Kates visited Cresco Speedway (Cresco, Iowa) on Sunday night. With all 21 cars signed in transferring into the feature, Kates earned a 21st starting spot with a 7th place outing in his heat. Gaining nine spots, Ben recorded a 12th place finish in the 35-lapper.
