October 24th, 2015 - Ben Attends USRA Fall Nationals at Southern NM
1Ben Kates headed to Southern New Mexico Speedway (Las Cruces, New Mexico) on Friday for the opening night of the 16th Annual S&S Fishing & Rental USRA Fall Nationals presented by Barnett Harley-Davidson and NAPA Auto Parts. Starting on the front row for his heat, Ben captured an 8-lap heat race win giving him a 4th row starting spot for the A-Main. Falling seven spots, Kates logged a 15th place finish.

The following night in a field of fifty-one entries, Ben Kates stormed to the front in his heat gaining six spots to score a runner-up finish to Daniel Hilsabeck. Starting in 2nd for the A-Main, Ben fell back to a 7th place outing.

On Sunday for the final day of action, Ben registered a 3rd place finish in his consolation event transferring him into the main event. Battling for $10,000-to-wn A-Main, Kates recorded a 14th place finish in the 50-lap affair.

October 17th, 2015 - Ben Kates Heads to Lakeside for USRA Nationals
1Thursday night brought Ben Kates Motorsports to Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas) for the three-day 2nd Annual United States Racing Association (USRA) National Championships. In a field of forty-four Open Wheel Modifieds, Ben logged a 7th place finish in his 8-lap heat transferring him into the B-Main. Needing a 6th place spot or better, Kates fell back to a 12th place outing bringing an early end to his night.

The following night in a field of forty-three cars, Ben Kates recorded an 8th place spot in his heat transferring him into another consolation event. Transferring top six into the 20-lap preliminary A-Main, Kates failed to his a transfer spot with a 14th place exit.

Wrapping up the busy weekend on Saturday night, Ben Kates fell seven spots short of a transfer spot in his heat with a 11th place outing. Looking to get into the main event with a 4th place finish or better, Ben logged a 9th place finish ending his night early.
