July 30, 2020 - Adam Kates attends Mod Mania at Mason City Motor Speedway
1On Tuesday afternoon Adam Kates was one of 30 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries registered in for action at Mason City Motor Speedway (Mason City, Iowa) for the three-day Mod Mania presented by Keyser Manufacturing. Following a fifth place finish in his heat, Kates logged an eighth place outing in his B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into opening night feature. With $2,000 on the line, Adam was an early retiree from the 35-lapper on lap 19.

The following night, Adam came one spot shy of a transfer spot in his B-Main with a sixth place finish. Using a provisional into the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Kates jumped up one spot to place 23rd.

For the $4,000-to-win finale on Thursday, Kates logged a fourth place finish in his heat race, giving him one last shot at the main event with a B-Main appearance. Grabbing the fifth and final transfer spot, Adam locked into the 22nd-starting position for the show. Passing six cars in the 40-lap affair, Adam Kates posted a 16th place outing.

July 25, 2020 - Kates visits I-80 Speedway for Silver Dollar Nationals
1 Tuesday night saw Adam Kates return with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) at Southern Iowa Speedway (Oskaloosa, Iowa) for the 12th annual Summer Classic. Coming in fourth in his heat race, Kates earned the fifth-starting position for the opening night feature. Falling shy of a Top-10 finish, Adam slipped back to a 13th place outing in the 25-lap affair.

On Friday afternoon at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) to kick off the two-day Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals, Adam clawed forward two spots in his heat race to register a fourth place finish. Wrapping up the Silver Dollar Nationals on Saturday, Kates posted a third place finish in his heat, which positioned him second on the starting grid for the finale. With $3,000 on the line, Adam fell back to an 18th place finish.

July 18, 2020 - Top 10 finish at Deer Creek Speedway
1Adam Kates traveled to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.) on Saturday evening powering his River Edge Scrap Management No. 23 Modified. Starting the night off with a heat race victory, Kates locked into the fifth-starting position for the feature. Dropping five spots in the 25-lap affair, Adam notched a 10th place finish.

June 20, 2020 - Adam Kates lands sixth place finish at Mason City
1Kicking off the five-day stretch with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Adam Kates traveled to Stuart Speedway (Stuart, Iowa) on Tuesday night for the inaugural Smackdown in Stuart. In a field of 24 cars, Kates secured his spot into the opening night feature with a fourth place finish in his heat. Gaining three spots in the 50-lap affair, Adam posted a 10th place finish.

The following night at Cedar County Raceway (Tipton, Iowa), Kates posted a fourth place finish in his heat, which positioned him 11th on the starting gird for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. Losing one spot in the 40-lap affair, Adam came home 12th.

On Thursday evening at Mason City Motor Speedway (Mason City, Iowa) for the Mayhem in Mason City, Adam edged his way into the A-Main with a fourth place finish in his heat. Passing three cars in the 40-lap affair, Kates notched a sixth place finish.

For the 12th annual Rapid Rumble on Friday night at Rapid Speedway (Rock Rapids, Iowa), Kates secured his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a third place finish in his heat. Falling short of a Top-5 finish, Adam slipped back to a ninth place outing in the 35-lap affair.

Closing out the action-packed week with the USMTS, Adam headed to Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) on Saturday for the Webster City Wrangle. Following a fourth place finish in his heat, Kates was an early retiree from the 35-lap feature on the eighth lap.

Dropping one spot in his heat race, Kates logged a fifth place finish, sending him into the B-Main. Failing to place fourth or better in his B-Main to make the feature, Adam was granted a provisional into the A-Main. Passing six cars in the 30-lap affair, Adam Kates posted a 22nd place finish.

1For the second round of the Masters on Friday afternoon, Adam came short of a transfer position in both his heat, and B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature. Rolling off 27th, Kates gained five spots to place 22nd.

Wrapping up the 21st annual Masters on Saturday, Kates logged a fifth place finish in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. Falling shy of a transfer spot with an eighth place finish, Adam relied on a provisional into the finale. With $10,000 on the line, Adam Kates advanced forward 10 spots in the 50-lapper to register a 17th place outing.

June 6, 2020 - Adam Kates Takes Part in Four Race USMTS Weekend
1Following the United State Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Adam Kates traveled to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Wednesday evening for the Wednesday Night Madness. Coming in second in his heat behind Chad Lyle, Kates locked into the ninth-starting position for the opening night feature. Falling short of a Top-10 finish, Adam slipped back to a 19th place outing.

The following night at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kan.) for the ninth annual Sunflower State Showdown, Kates came in eighth in his heat before placing 14th in his B-Main. Relying on a provisional into the show, Adam gained two spots in the 40-lapper to register a 22nd place finish.

On Friday afternoon at Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kan.) for the Hummer Hustle, Adam posted a seventh place finish in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. Failing to place fifth or better, Kates was granted a provisional into the show. With $3,000 on the line, Adam Kates passed eight cars in the 40-lap affair to place 15th.

For the final stop of the weekend, Kates headed to Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Okla.) for the seventh annual Juggernaut. After coming in third in his heat, Adam locked his spot into the $3,000-to-win finale with a fourth place finish in his B-Main. Dropping four spots in the feature, Adam Kates logged a 23rd place outing.

May 22, 2020 - Mother Nature Wins Second Half of Spring Shootout
1Adam Kates was one of 38 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries on hand at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wisc.) on Friday night for the two-day Spring Shootout. After falling shy of a transfer spot in his heat with a fifth place finish, Kates grabbed the fifth and final transfer position in his B-Main. Starting the opening night feature in 22nd, Adam dropped two spots in the 40-lapper to place 24th.

Saturday night’s finale fell victim to Mother Nature while Monday’s event at Park Jefferson International Speedway (North Sioux City, S.D.) was postponed to June 15th.

May 15, 2020 - Kates Attends Regular Night of Racing at Mississippi Thunder
1On Friday night Adam Kates made the trip to Mississippi Thunder speedway (Fountain City, Wisc.) getting the car dialed in for the upcoming United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) weekend. Recording a fourth place finish in his heat race, Kates locked into the 16th-starting position for the A-Main. Dropping one spot in the 25-lap affair, Adam logged a 17th place outing.

May 9, 2020 - Early Exit for Kates at Hamilton County Speedway
1Saturday night found Adam Kates in action at Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Ia.) powering his Rivers Edge Scrap Management No. 23 USRA Modified. Holding his spot for all 8-laps of his heat, Kates posted a third place finish. Receiving the pole position for the A-Main, Adam was one of 12 cars that failed to finish the 20-lap affair.

May 2, 2020 - Adam Kates Lands Top 5 Finish at 82 Speedway
With the promoters and track officials mandating several precautionary measures to hold the event during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Adam Kates invaded Monarch Motor Speedway (Wichita Falls, Tex.) on Friday evening competing in a field of 23 USRA Modifieds. Coming in second in his heat behind Cole Traugott, Kates locked into the fourth-starting position for the opening night feature. 1The following night at 82 Speedway (Petty, Texas), Adam scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Max Eddie Thomas, which positioned him seventh on the starting grid for the A-Main. Passing three cars in the 20-lapper, Kates notched a fourth place finish behind Jason Ingalls, Jason Sartain, and Nathan Smith with Dave Gaggero coming in fifth.

March 7, 2020 - Kates Attends Texas Spring Nationals at Big O Speedway
1After bad weather wiped out Thursday night’s opener, Adam Kates was one of 39 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries on hand at Big O Speedway (Ennis, Texas) on Friday for the 10th annual Texas Spring Nationals. Recording a sixth place finish in his heat race, Kates transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Sending the Top 5 into the show, Adam logged an 11th-place outing.

On Saturday evening for another $3,000-to-win A-Main, Adam followed up an eighth place finish in his heat with a 12th place finish in his B-Main. Earning a provisional into the show, Kates improved four spots to place 22nd.

March 1, 2020 - Top 10 Finish in USMTS Opener at I-37 Speedway
On Friday evening Adam Kates traveled to I-37 Speedway (Pleasanton, Texas) to kick off the 2020 season with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned Rustler. December 23, 2019 - Adam Kates Closes Out 2019 Season
The 2019 season saw Adam Kates travel to a total of 41 events behind the wheel of his Rivers Edge Scrap Management No. 23 Modified. With Mother Nature determining the outcome of 17 of his scheduled dates, Kates collected one Top-5 finish and eight Top-10 outings.

November 16, 2019 - Duel in the Desert Brings Kates' to Las Vegas
1Thursday night saw Adam Kates return to action at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Las Vegas, Nevada) for the 22nd annual Duel in the Desert. Improving six spots in his heat, Kates reeled in a 4th place finish which transferred him into the B-Main for another shot at the preliminary feature. After running in a transfer spot the majority of the race, Adam got pinched by lapped-car on the final lap that slipped him back to 3rd.

October 26, 2019 - Top 5 Finish at US 36 Raceway
1On Saturday night Adam Kates visited US 36 Raceway (Osborne, Missouri) piloting his Rivers Edge Scrap Management No. 23 Open Wheel Modified entry. Coming in 4th in his heat, Kates earned the 12th-starting position for the A-Main. Breaking into the Top-5, Adam advanced through the field eight spots to place 4th behind Steven Bowers Jr., Chad Clancy, and Shayne Bailey with Jaylen Wettengel coming in 5th.

September 20, 2019 - Mechanical Issues Cut Kates' Featherlite Fall Jamboree Short
1Adam Kates traveled to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) on Thursday night kicking off the 21st annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree. In a field of 68 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries, Kates followed up a 5th place finish in his heat with a 3rd place finish in his B-Main. Starting the opening night feature in 23rd, Adam gained two spots to place 21st.

Returning on Friday evening, Adam suffered mechanical issues in his heat race that brought an early end to his weekend.

September 1, 2019 - 11th Place Finish at Fayette County Speedway
1Kicking off the Labor Day tripleheader, Adam Kates followed the United States Modified Touring Series to Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wisconsin) on Friday night. Drawing 33 cars seventh annual End of Summer Bash, Kates followed up a 9th place finish in his heat with an 11th place finish in his B-Main. Using a provisional into the opening night feature, Adam passed ten cars in the 40-lapper to place 16th.

The following night at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for the Labor Day Duel, Adam came in 3rd in his heat before falling one spot shy of a transfer position in his B-Main with a 7th place finish. Using a provisional into the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Kates jumped up six spots logging a 19th place outing.

On Sunday afternoon at Fayette County Speedway (West Union, Iowa), Kates edged his way into the A-Main with a 6th place finish in his heat. Coming one spot shy of a Top-10 finish, Adam improved six spots to place 11th.

August 25, 2019 - Adam Kates Passes Nine Cars in Summer Slam at Nobles County
1Thursday night brought 21 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries to Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) for the 13th annual Casey's Clash. Starting the night off with a heat race victory, Adam earned the 5th-starting position for the opening night feature. Falling two spots shy of a Top-10 finish, Kates slipped back to a 12th place outing.

On Friday evening at Rapid Speedway (Rock Rapids, Iowa), Adam followed up an 8-lap heat race victory with an 8th place finish in the 40-lap feature.

For the ninth annual Summer Slam on Saturday night at Nobles County Speedway (Worthington, Minnesota), Kates locked his spot into the main event with an 8th place finish in his heat. Passing nine cars in the 40-lap feature, Adam reeled in a 6th place finish.

The following night at Casino Speedway (Watertown, South Dakota) for the Sandy Benson Memorial, Kates streaked to an 8-lap heat race win which positioned him 4th on the starting grid for the $4,000-to-win finale. Dropping two spots in the 40-lap affair, Adam recorded a 6th place finish.
